Anyway...a couple of you Monday morning quaterbacks are weighing in on the Randy Moss situation. I figured I'd add my two cents worth, because after all--it is my blog.
Trading Randy Moss would be just about the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. No one changes the way other teams have to prepare when Moss' is ready to go. You can't re-draft that, you can't trade for that, and you certainly can't make up for it with better defense. The Vikes should buck up and make another run at some talented free agents and build their defense through the draft. Randy's in the total prime of his career, he wants to stay, and he and Culpepper are totally clicking. With a healthy offensive line, there will be no stopping our offense. If we can't build a better defense after 3 years of "addressing it" through free agency and the draft--that's not Mr. Moss' problem. He doesn't play defense (but I've thought about dropping him into coverage on obvious key passing plays as the nickel back). How about trading the bozos making the personnel decisions? Coaches, GMs, and coordinators beware...it's your heads I want.
Rock on Randy, and thanks for shaking your butt at Packer fans. Our unborn child thanks you too.
