MN Hats Off To Thee...

hats galore

Seriously, you never know what our wacky family might pull next. One minute we're sitting there like your typical group of grandparents, uncles, aunts, moms, dads and brothers eating dinner and making small talk. Then BAM! we're a kooky bunch of hat and costume wearing nut jobs rolling on the floor laughing our butts off. Perhaps there were some special herbs that Liz used in her Manicotti recipe that caused a spontaneous outbreak of tomfoolery. This was "milk out the nose" funny. Even baby Brian got in to the act with a funny red nose and bow tie. You can't see it in the photo, but Liz's sister Jen was actually wearing a half of watermelon on her head. The seeds were sticking to her forehead and watermelon juice was dripping from here hair. It was hysterical, but we made her take the picture. Will and I were playing a nice little game of Fireman (he's fire chief and I get to be cowboy) when we happened upon a basket of other headgear. Will brought out the caps, ears and antlers one by one to the group. What started out as simple fun, turned into rousing game of dress up, which in turn, became this great photo opportunity.
Thanks to everyone who showed up at the Baptism and gave the fellas such thoughtful gifts. And I'm glad that no one gave us a purple Cadillac Eldorado like my friend Marc Perkansky got for his Bar Mitzvah. We simply don't have the garage space and none of the boys outfits are pimpin' enough to bump it in a purple 'lac. Hey, that's just how we roll.
